Install xp over me

A friend of mine gave me an extra hard drive so after I installed this as a slave I tried it again. I left it run the installation process over night and it was still not installed by morning. What am I doing wrong? Is it that simple to just pop in a second hard drive and make it a slave. My friend said that XP will "push" something else on to the second hard drive to make room, but I don't think this is happening.

How can I find out the total number of Gigs I have with both hard drives? Should I unitstall some programs before installing XP? Video games, Ad-aware, Norton AntiVirus? I know I'm probably overlooking something simple. Thanks a bunch! Share Flag. All Comments. Collapse -.
